Do I need an account? Where are my shelves saved?

No account and no sign-in. Your shelves, ratings, diary and lists are saved on your phone, your iPhone backup includes them, and there is a copy encrypted with your restore code that we cannot read. Only what you post in Friends is kept on our server, for your friends. The privacy policy has the details.

How do I move my shelves to a new phone?

• With your restore code: find it in Settings, keep it (“Copy code” or “Save as image”) and never share it. On the new phone, choose “Have a code? Restore my profile” and type it; your shelves and friends come back. We cannot recover a lost code, because it never reaches us.
• If you move to the new iPhone with Quick Start or an iCloud backup, your shelves come along.
• Or in Settings: “Move to another phone”, then send the file to yourself (AirDrop, Files or a message). On the new phone, open “Restore from a file” and pick it.
• If the phone is lost along with your restore code, and you have no backup and no saved file, we cannot recover your shelves, because our copy is encrypted and only your code opens it. That is why the app reminds you once a month to save a copy.

I can’t find a perfume, game or movie

Add it yourself with its name and details. It sits on your shelf like any other item and shows on your profile.

How do I share my profile?

On your profile, tap “Share your profile”: a story image, a square image, your profile link or a QR code. Friends who have the app open the link in the app; others see your profile in their browser.

Long-press the link and choose to open it in Raff (iOS remembers). Or copy the link, then in the app open “Friends” and “Open a copied link”.

Buy links

You can add a product link from any shop to any item, and a “Buy it here” button shows on your profile. Copy the full link from your browser (it starts with https://); shortened links are refused because they hide where they go. Before opening a link from someone else’s profile, the app asks you first.

Something inappropriate on someone’s profile

On a friend’s profile you can hide it, block it (it disappears, and its link no longer opens for you), or choose “Report content”, which opens a ready email to us. Names, bios, reviews, added items and buy links pass through a filter for inappropriate words.

Ads

A small banner on some lists, never on writing or editing screens. We ask for non-personalised, family-safe ads. If Settings shows “Ad and privacy choices”, you can change your choice there.

Language

The app is in Arabic and English; change the language in Settings.
